Q: What if I’m at a party and I drink a little alcohol?
A: It’s my guess that the words “a little” were put in there on purpose, in hopes that just because it’s a little, it’s not so bad. Well, I hate to say, but sin is sin. Is it OK for someone to only cheat a little bit on a test, or to only lie to their parents a little bit? If I made a huge batch of cookies, but I spit in the batter—just a little—would you want to eat one of the cookies?
There are at least two reasons why it’s not OK for you to drink even a little alcohol at a party. One is that I can just about guarantee your parents are not OK with it, and the Bible says for you to obey your parents and to honor them. Second, it’s against the law, and the Bible says to obey those that have authority over us.
My advice: First, confess your sin to God and receive His forgiveness. Second, confess to your parents, tell them you’re sorry, and accept with humility whatever consequences they hand down. Third, stay away from parties where alcohol is served, and away from the friends who invite you to those parties.
Reminder: The right thing to do is rarely if ever the easy thing to do.

Parents, remember that there are activities for 7th and 8th grades during both the 8:30 and 11:15 services every Sunday. They are able to enjoy the Edge facilities as well as participate in group games and a small group lesson.

High School Small Groups:
Small groups are held during the normal Sunday morning service time (10:00-11:00am). Small groups are a great way to promote personal discipleship in a large youth group. It enables youth to get to know each other and the adult volunteers more intimately. We look forward to the youth getting to know God and each other better.

This program is small group-based. Thinking back
to when I was in youth, small groups represent some
of the most important times in youth ministry. In a
large church like Grace, it’s sometimes easy
for kids and adults alike to get lost in the crowd.
But with small groups, they can get to know a few people
on a more intimate level. They will have the opportunity
to meet other youth they might not have otherwise met.
They will also get to know a youth leader or two who
truly care about them, their lives, their hopes, and
their dreams.
